Our Story

Welcome to Molten Spirit Glass Studio. We are a small hand built studio nestled in the coastal woods of the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia Canada.

Chris Motloch, glassblower and heat wrangler, has been working with hot glass since 1998. He began an apprenticeship at a factory style glass studio pressing out mold formed glass hearts and paperweights, before breaking free to create his own glass dream. In 2005 Chris fired up a small outbuilding and Molten Spirit Glass was born.

Chris has studied at various recognized glass art schools in Canada and the USA and has been quietly working away on his own glass practice and evolution, influenced by the majestic coastal and wild forest life of the Sunshine Coast.
